Coming off a heartbreaker of a Beanpot Championship matchup, Boston University women’s hockey (11-11-3, 9-8-1 HEA) will be itching for a win against the Holy Cross Crusaders (5-16-2, 2-13-2 HEA). The teams are set to face off in a two-game series, with the first on Friday night at 6 p.m. at Walter Brown Arena, and the second on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Hart Center Rink in Worcester.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There’s no question that the Terriers have the edge talent-wise. Catherine Foulem sent the Beanpot final to overtime as she tucked one with under a minute left in regulation. With ten goals on the season, Foulem\u2019s presence is a strong one on the ice.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Another essential player for the Terriers is junior goalie Callie Shanahan, who just recently returned to play following an injury. In her last game, she made 28 saves, and although impressive, it was not quite enough for BU to bring home the trophy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A strong player for the Crusaders is Millie Sirum, who leads her team in points, with 7 goals and 8 assists, for a total of 15 points on the season. However, to best the Terriers, the Crusaders will have to share the wealth and find new ways, and players to put pucks in the net.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Holy Cross goaltending has been relatively solid, as Madison Beck has put up a save percentage of .919. As she hopes to continue this caliber of performance, she will look to her team to bury the biscuit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

BU coach Tara Watchorn had nothing bad to say about the performance of her Terriers at the TD Garden on Tuesday night. Instead, she looks to build off all of the positive elements of the hockey that was played, of which there were many.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Follow the Terriers along on their two-game weekend, starting Friday at Walter Brown, then heading to the Hart Center Rink on Saturday night. Both games can be streamed on ESPN+.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
