The Boston University Terriers (6-5-4, 3-2-2 PL) traveled to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon to take on the Bucknell Bison (8-3-4, 3-1-3 PL). The game was an exciting, back-and-forth affair, which ended in a 3-3 draw.<\/span><\/p>\n

BU came out of the gates rearing to go, taking a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute of play courtesy of a header by junior forward Morgan Fagan in what was her second goal of the season.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the 28th minute, junior forward Kelley Francis found the back of the net for the Bison, leveling the score late in the final third of the first half.<\/span><\/p>\n

The score would remain 1-1 going into the break, with the Terriers holding a 7-6 shot advantage in the first 45 minutes of play.<\/span><\/p>\n

The teams would trade goals early in the second half, with junior midfielder Teresa Deda giving the home team a 2-1 lead in the 56th minute only to have Fagan score her second goal of the day for BU to knot the game at two-a-piece three minutes later.<\/span><\/p>\n

The defending Patriot League Champions broke the 2-2 deadlock in the 72nd minute off a left-footed volley from junior forward Paige Temple to give the Bison a 3-2 lead with less than 20 minutes left to play.<\/span><\/p>\n

BU didn\u2019t back down and in the 78th minute junior midfielder Eileen Soloman sent a perfect ball toward the box for sophomore forward Margy Porta, who settled the ball, beat her defender, and found the back of the net for her first career goal to bring the Terriers back level. The 3-3 score would stick.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Terriers will look to build off this performance when they host Yale at Nickerson Field on Tuesday at 7 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
