HANNAH YOSHINAGA\/ WTBU SPORTS<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><em>By Hannah Yoshinaga<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Boston University women\u2019s basketball team (2-3, 0-0 PL) recorded its second consecutive loss Wednesday, falling to Yale (4-2, 0-0 Ivy League) 57-51.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Junior guards Sydney Johnson and Liz Shean led the Terriers in scoring with 12 points each. It was Shean\u2019s second straight game scoring in double-digits after she put up 11 points against Maine Sunday.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sophomore center Caitlin Weimar had one of her best performances of the season with 10 points, nine rebounds, three steals and one assist.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another key part of the offense was sophomore guard Sophie Beneventine, who dished out a team-leading five assists. BU is shooting only 63.4% from the charity stripe on the season and went 6-of-14 on free-throw attempts in its last match against Maine.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the other side of the floor, Camilla Emsbo led Yale with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Christen McCann posted 13 points, while Klara Astrom scored 12 on 3-of-5 three-point shooting.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The loss was also the Terriers\u2019 second loss in a row versus an Ivy League team this season, as they were topped 69-40 by Princeton Nov. 14, 2021. BU has not defeated an Ivy League squad since Dec. 21, 2019, when they beat Dartmouth 74-56.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Terriers have an opportunity to break that streak Saturday when they face Harvard on the road.
