The hiring team met with two of it’s final choices on campus on Monday and Tuesday. The names and how many applicants are still in the running were not disclosed at the time.

Lauren Spearman, a rising-senior point guard, said her teammates and she hope the new coach wants to build mutual respect between the players and the coaches, and can communicate well on a consistent basis.

“Communication is key,” said Spearman, “It ensures that we’re on the same page with all of our goals and everything moving forward.”

During the first month of a head coach-less offseason, the Terriers have been working directly with assistant coach Jenny Thigpin, the only currently retained member of the Steding coaching staff.
