Gallery: Men’s hockey shuts out UMass in first weekend series of 2026

In their first official matchup of 2026, Boston University’s men’s hockey team held off the UMass Minutemen 1-0, recording their first shutout of the season and three points on the road. Junior forward Jack Harvey scored the lone goal in the eighth minute of the second period, while sophomore goaltender Mikhail Yegorov saved all 18 shots he faced. This was the Terriers first shutout since Feb. 22, 2025. Freshman forward Tynan Lawrence also played in his first collegiate game after joining BU’s roster midseason.
