Gallery: Women’s Soccer Fails to Defeat Army in Patriot League Title Game

Looking to capture the Patriot League title for the second straight year, the No.1-seed BU Terriers faced the No.3-seed Army West Point and fell 3-2 to close out their 2025 season. Army held a 2-0 lead into halftime, but in the 58th minute, junior forward Ava Maguire found the back of the net to cut the gap for the Terriers in half. In the 82nd minute, Army scored again which eventually became the championship-winning goal, yet 50 seconds later, sophomore midfielder Olivia Avellar headed the ball into the back of the net for BU. In the dwindling minutes, the Terriers struggled with possession of the ball and the clocked winded down to crown Army as the Patriot League champions
