GALLERY: TERRIERS LOSE TO NORTHEASTERN IN 44TH BEANPOT SEMI FINALS

Boston University Women’s Hockey had a disappointing showing against the No. 5 Northeastern University Huskies Tuesday night, losing the 44th Women’s Beanpot 4-1. Terrier goalkeeper Andrea Brändli had an impressive 41 saves, but her efforts weren’t enough to secure a Terrier win and advancement to the Beanpot finals.

The Huskies’ Maureen Murphy scored the opening goal at Conte Forum at 7:32 in the first period, her first of the night. The Terriers’ Brooke Disher tied the game at 2:01 in the second period off assists from Lacey Martin and Julia Nearis. The Huskies quickly responded, with Maureen Murphy scoring her second goal of the night at 3:53 in the second. The Huskies went on to score two more goals, with Aline Mueller and Taze Thompson, each respectively picking up the credit.

The Terriers are scheduled to play Harvard in the consolation game at Conte Forum on February 14 at 4 pm.
