Directing Program at Boston University\u2019s School of Theater, her credits include theaters and universities throughout New England and beyond.\u00a0 With a commitment to raising consciousness around the power of the arts as activism, Judy collaborates with Andre de Quadros in the BU College of Fine Arts <strong>Prison Arts Project, <\/strong>teaching incarcerated students in Massachusetts\u2019 prisons and jails. They also work together within the BU community, teaching the socially conscious Collaborative Arts Incubator and the groundbreaking series<strong> Race, Prison, Justice, Arts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As a director, Judy\u2019s work often has concern for human rights at its center: <strong><em>Golda\u2019s Balcony<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(NEW REP),\u00a0<strong><em>To Kill A Mockingbird<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0 <\/em>(GSC),\u00a0<strong><em>Emilie, La Marquise du Chatelet, Defends Her Life Tonight<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em>(CST), <strong><em>Othello<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>I Am Lear<\/em><\/strong>, a devised piece on aging (ASP), <strong><em>Deported, a dream play <\/em><\/strong>(BPT), <strong><em>Our Class<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>Our Country\u2019s Good<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>The Exonerated<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0at BU\/SOT and the new work <strong><em>Mr. Fullerton (<\/em><\/strong>GBPT).\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Most currently, a new solo work about the feminist, suffragist, abolitionist, Julia Ward Howe, <strong><em>Representation and How to Get It<\/em><\/strong>.<strong><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/em><\/strong>A longtime member of the Society of Directors and Choreographers, AEA and SAG-AFTRA, Judy is also proud to have been a founding board member of Stage Source, New England Theater\u2019s service organization committed to connecting theaters, artists and their communities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Judy Braha has been a director, actor, teacher and artist for social justice for over four decades.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Long-time head of the M.F.A.
