\nIn the News<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n- Congratulations to Dr. Karsten Lunze and his wife, Dr. Fatima Lunze, for receiving the\u00a0<\/span>Victor Sidel and Barry Levy Award for Peace<\/a>\u00a0from the American Public Health Association (APHA) for establishing the NGO Health for the Caucasus, which works to strengthen health care for those directly and indirectly affected by violence in the Russian North Caucasus.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Congratulations to Dr. Jeffrey Samet for receiving the\u00a0<\/span>American College of Physicians (ACP) Richard and Hinda Rosenthal Award<\/a>\u00a0for his innovative work in the field of addiction medicine.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Symposium accepted at\u00a0<\/span>College on Problems of Drug Dependence (CPDD) 2018<\/a>: \u201cPolysubstance use is the norm: Time for research and practice to recognize and address it.\u201d Dr. Richard Saitz is organizing the symposium.<\/span><\/li>\n
