His research group focuses on the dynamics and thermodynamics of the lower atmosphere, in particular the atmospheric boundary layer, and how they are affected by human activities.\u00a0His is particularly interested in the interaction between the atmospheric boundary layer and the Earth\u2019s surface such as exchanges of mass, momentum, and energy.
