Dan Li is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Earth and Environment. His research group focuses on the dynamics and thermodynamics of the lower atmosphere, in particular the atmospheric boundary layer, and how they are affected by human activities.\u00a0His is particularly interested in the interaction between the atmospheric boundary layer and the Earth\u2019s surface such as exchanges of mass, momentum, and energy. He uses a variety of research tools, including theoretical analyses, numerical models, and field experiments to\u00a0address\u00a0pressing challenges\u00a0such as climate change and urbanization.<\/p>\n
