Emily Walton (she\/her) is the Program Manager for BU URBAN, where she is responsible for the programming, communication, and implementation of URBAN\u2019s interdisciplinary model to tackle urban environmental challenges.\u00a0 She comes to this work with a focus on educational equity, a motivation to ensure trainees are supported in their diverse goals, and a commitment to sustainability.<\/p>\n
Emily is a former high school science teacher turned college access and persistence professional focused on first-generation college students.\u00a0 She volunteers with her local Sustainability Advisory Committee and believes in the transformative impact of connecting research with policy-making and the importance of accessible science communication.<\/p>\n
