She is interested in the intersection of urban ecology and public health,\u00a0as well as how ecological science can support policy and vice versa. She graduated from Macalester College in 2019 with a degree in Biology and spent four years as a lab manager at the University of Minnesota studying changing fungal ecology in prairie ecosystems.
