During their time at BU, Lydia&#8217;s research focused on the relationship between environmental justice and how microplastics impact the ecology and biogeochemical function of aquatic systems.<\/p>\n<p>Their research during undergrad focused on land use&#8217;s impacts on respiration rates in urban streams.
