He graduated from Boston University in 2017 with a major in Environmental Science and minor in Economics. Ian is a research scientist at Boston University&#8217;s Earth &amp; Environment Department and is the instructor of BU URBAN&#8217;s Urban Biogeoscience and Environmental Health Colloquium Course. Previously, he worked as a visiting fellow at Boston University where he studied landscape fragmentation and urbanization impacts on forest productivity and respiration. <span>His research interests center around climate adaptation and resiliency in cities.<\/span> Outside of the lab, he enjoys spending time with his Boston Terrier.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Publications:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Smith IA<\/strong>, Fabian MP, Hutyra, LR.
