Join our team as a Communications Assistant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Note: This position has been filled, but we will likely be hiring in future semesters!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/urban\/\">BU URBAN Graduate Program<\/a> seeks a creative and hard-working undergraduate student for remote work during the Fall 2021 Semester. Given our ultimate goal of helping cities tackle environmental challenges, the Communications Assistant will collaborate with the URBAN Program Manager to ensure our communications are accessible and impactful and reach stakeholder audiences that benefit most from our work.<\/p>\n<p>Tasks will include creating new marketing materials to communicate our mission and impact, improving the accessibility and wow-factor of the BU URBAN website using WordPress, and assisting with the management of our social media pages and newsletter. Other tasks as assigned.<\/p>\n<p><em>Qualifications<\/em>: To be eligible, applicant must be a current BU undergraduate student and possess:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Organization skills and attention to details<\/li>\n<li>Professional attitude and self-motivation<\/li>\n<li>Graphic design and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience with WordPress and\/or HTML<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing social media accounts, especially Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Mailchimp is a plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Hours are flexible and may vary, but will be about 4-6 hours per week, and can be coordinated around a student\u2019s course schedule and availability. Vacations (unpaid) or other unpaid time off can be arranged in advance in consultation with supervisor. Having a Work-Study grant is desired, but not required for employment.
