URBAN Trainees are graduate students (doctoral and master’s) across departments at Boston University who are united in a passion for addressing urban environmental challenges. Some Trainees come to this work with a public health lens, others with an environmental science perspective, and still others with an economic or data science background. They bring a variety of skills and experiences that can benefit partner organizations.<\/p>\n
We are looking for partners who would benefit from the additional support provided by an URBAN Trainee on a specific project focused on an urban sustainability issue that has direct or indirect implications for policy or practice. URBAN collaborates with local and state government agencies, non-profit community organizations, and the private-sector. URBAN Internship Projects are a minimum of 80 hours and should be defined by key deliverables that the Trainee can focus their efforts on. They can be part-time, full-time, in-person, remote, or hybrid. We work with partner organizations and Trainees to define the scope, products, and expectations of each internship project individually.
