Stacy Fox is the Executive Director of the Boston University Initiative on Cities, where she spearheads university-wide programs and research, including the national Menino Survey of Mayors, place-based experiential learning for students, and multi-stakeholder events. She partners with the IOC Director to advance the visibility, stature, and capacity of BU as a renowned urban research university while making a positive contribution to the well-being of urban residents. She previously served as IOC’s Associate Director.

Prior to joining the Initiative, Stacy was a Planner with the Cambridge Housing Authority, where she managed the rehabilitation and capital improvement plans for several multifamily developments in Cambridge Housing’s portfolio. Stacy also served as an Associate with the Technical Assistance Collaborative, a national nonprofit organization that advances proven solutions to the housing and community support services needs of low-income people with disabilities and people experiencing homelessness. In this role, she provided comprehensive technical assistance and consultation to HUD and VA-funded organizations on the issues of affordable and supportive housing. She regularly facilitated workshops and convened meetings with government officials, housing agencies, and service providers to help communities meet local and federal goals to end and prevent homelessness.

Stacy is a proud first generation student, and received her Master of City Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Boston University.
