Emily Burlij

Emily Burlij is BU’s Director for Federal Relations in Washington, DC.  She works to build and maintain strong working relationships between BU and key policymakers in the federal government.  In addition, Emily is in the executive committee of the Science Coalition. Prior to joining BU, she served as a policy advisor at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, worked in the energy and natural resources division of a lobbying firm, and in legislative affairs for a large environmental nonprofit.  Emily received her BA in Political Science from Villanova University, and her JD from Washington College of Law at American University.
