03/20/2019 Guest Speaker: Tarek Hassan on firm-level political risk

This week we will host a guest lecture by Tarek Hassan.  Our guest speaker is an associate professor at BU teaching and specializing in macroeconomics, international finance, and political economy.  Professor Hassan is currently working on two papers on currency manipulation and  firm-level political risk. The meeting will take place this Wednesday, March 20th, from 7 to 8 pm in Questrom’s HAR 316. Come see what comes out when you merge politics, economics, and international finance!

I am also very pleased to announce that the UEA will start its recruitment process for its E-Board very soon. Positions are open to all students interested in economics. Freshmen and sophomores are especially encouraged to apply. We will give more details about the application and positions at this week’s meeting and throughout this week.
