{"id":3619,"date":"2024-01-05T10:44:37","date_gmt":"2024-01-05T15:44:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/tpri\/?post_type=profile&#038;p=3619"},"modified":"2024-01-05T10:44:37","modified_gmt":"2024-01-05T15:44:37","slug":"samantha-zyontz","status":"publish","type":"profile","link":"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/tpri\/profile\/samantha-zyontz\/","title":{"rendered":"Samantha Zyontz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Samantha Zyontz is a TPRI Faculty Fellow and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Strategy &amp; Innovation at Boston University\u2019s Questrom School of Business.\u00a0 She also is an affiliate (by courtesy) of the Boston University Law School.\u00a0 She has a Ph.D. in Technological Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Strategic Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management, a M.S. in Managerial Economics and Strategy from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.A. in economics from the College of William &amp; Mary.\u00a0 She conducted several policy focused, large-scale empirical law and economics projects with the Commission of Experts for Research and Innovation in Germany (EFI); Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School; and the Searle Center on Law, Regulation, and Economic Growth at Northwestern University School of Law.\u00a0 Prior to her career in academia, she worked in intellectual property litigation consulting for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, Navigant Consulting, Inc., and Berkeley Research Group.<\/p>\n<p>Her research focuses on intellectual property strategy and the influence of institutions on innovation, with an emphasis on CRISPR DNA-editing tools. \u00a0She has work published in the\u00a0J<em>ournal of Empirical Legal Studies,\u00a0Journal of Competition Law and Economics,\u00a0International Review of Law and Economics,\u00a0Stanford Technology Law Review,\u00a0Hastings Business Law Journal,\u00a0Tennessee Law Review, <\/em>and<em>\u00a0Florida Law Review.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":13705,"template":"","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/tpri\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/3619"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/tpri\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/tpri\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/profile"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/tpri\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/13705"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/tpri\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/3619\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":3620,"href":"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/tpri\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/3619\/revisions\/3620"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/tpri\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=3619"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
