We use &#8220;t4t&#8221; in our team name for a few reasons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our name links us to our long-term research on trans\/nonbinary people&#8217;s romantic relationship experiences, in which t4t relationships are an important topic.<\/li>\n<li>Our name reflects our pride in being a majority-trans team doing research with trans\/nonbinary communities. It highlights our commitment to the principle of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nothing_about_us_without_us\"><em>nothing about us without us<\/em><\/a>, i.e., that decisions affecting any group of people should only be made with that group&#8217;s full and direct participation.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, &#8220;t4t&#8221; is a positive, strengths-based concept, aligned with our approach to young adult health as a whole.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In trans\/nonbinary communities, &#8220;t4t&#8221; refers to romantic relationships between trans\/nonbinary people\u2014and, more broadly, to intra-community love and support among trans\/nonbinary people.
