Dr. Lucas Chen received his MD from University of Sao Paulo School of Medicine Currently enrolled in residency program at Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham, MA. He is currently practicing as an Internist at that facility. His field area of interest is Clinical Epidemiology working with the Framingham Heart Study.

Dr. Prashant Rao received his MBBS from Kings College (UK). He is currently enrolled in Cardiology Fellowship at Beth Israel. His field of study is Statistical Genetics and Genomics, with a focus on the relationship between cardiac and metabolic diseases.

Alyse Wheelock, MD
Postdoctoral Fellow
Research Mentors: Daniel Bourque and Chris Gill
Dr. Alyse Wheelock completed a clinical fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Boston Medical Center. She is a current postdoctoral fellow whose research focuses on Chagas disease, an underrecognized cause of cardiac disease among migrants from endemic areas for this chronic parasitic infection. Other research interests include clinical epidemiology of infectious diseases.

Juan-Pablo Zertuche, MD

Dr. Zertuche pursued Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, and then completed Rheumatology Fellowship at Boston University. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow interested in clinical epidemiology of cardiovascular disease. His current research focus includes scleroderma related cardiovascular outcomes.

Dr. Rachel Zmora joins the T32 Multidisciplinary Training Program in Cardiovascular Epidemiology after receiving her PhD in Epidemiology from University of Minnesota. Prior to that, she obtained her MPH from the George Washington University. Dr Zmora’s main research interest is Clinical Epidemiology with a focus on aging and dementia.
