Stuttering has been discussed and depicted in various forms of media. The CST believes in the importance of all people feeling they are represented in all forms of media, with people who stutter being no different.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During the Spring 2024 semester, one group therapy session was centered around the themes of representation in media and the depiction of stuttering in films in particular. This group, which was co-facilitated by a clinician and a client, featured an engaging discussion among graduate student clinicians and adult clients about depictions of stuttering in various films and media at large.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stuttering has been a subject in stories ranging from news stories in the Boston Globe to videos published by mission-driven nonprofit organizations. Below are several examples of stuttering in the media:<\/span><\/p>\n
