Research
Professor Frank Guenther of the Departments of Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences and Biomedical Engineering at Boston University investigates the neural bases of speech in neurologically normal and disordered populations. A major focus of this research is the neural basis of stuttering, including studies of fluency inducing conditions and brain imaging studies comparing the brains of people who stutter to those of matched controls.
