As detailed in the article in ASHA&#8217;s Perspectives from Elizabeth Heller Murray, Katherine Girouard,\u00a0Gabriel Cler, and Cara Stepp entitled &#8220;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/pubs.asha.org\/doi\/abs\/10.1044\/persp1.SIG3.63\">Development of an Electronic Documentation System for Voice Therapy: A New Teaching and Clinical Research Tool<\/a><\/em>,&#8221; the app develops a clear, standardized method of voice therapy documentation. VoiceTx allows\u00a0researchers and clinicians of all levels to record information such as therapy tasks, goals, successful trials, notes, etc., from\u00a0any therapy session and stores the data in a local database.\u00a0\u00a0VoiceTx includes the following main features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The therapy session is\u00a0structured to include voice therapy hierarchies, which users may customize\u00a0and alter as preferred.<\/li>\n<li>The app\u00a0provides taxonomy definitions of the standardized\u00a0<span>voice therapy nomenclature utilized in the system (Van Stan, Roy, Awan, Steple, &amp; Hillman, 2015).<\/span><\/li>\n<li>The electronic documentation system is paper-free, and the user may optionally send a patient&#8217;s voice therapy results via email at the end of each session.<\/li>\n<li>The locally-stored data\u00a0is accessible to the clinic for analysis within or between patients. The complete database may be compiled for large-scale analysis and future clinical research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>VoiceTx is now available in the Google Play Store. The app is free and compatible for download on all Android platforms. Due to versioning issues, VoiceTx is unfortunately not available on iOS platforms.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you do not have access to an android device, you can run VoiceTX on your Windows or Mac computer with an Android Emulator; for example<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>BlueStacks.<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>If you choose to use BlueStacks, a widely used program, you can download that application here:<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bluestacks.com\/\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.bluestacks.com\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1603891979203000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFEK3ztXErnvNIYKJMSIx2kB-y_gw\">https:\/\/www.bluestacks.com\/ <\/a>Once downloaded, login to your own Gmail account and search for<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>VoiceTX<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>in the GooglePlay store. Whenever you open BlueStacks on your computer, you will now be able to find the<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>VoiceTx<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>application in<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>Home &gt; <\/em><em>My games<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><strong>Important note<\/strong>: Using this android emulator allows for full capabilities with one exception \u2013 data cannot be emailed to the user from this platform. Therefore, although all database information is saved and can be referenced later, notes cannot be sent to the clinician.
