The Startup Law Clinic is offered as a year-long course during the academic year. During the summer, we offer fellowships to Boston University students.
Academic Year Clinic
For the academic year course, students receive six credits for each academic semester. Students are strongly encouraged to take Corporations, Contract Drafting and some intellectual property coursework (the IP survey course and/or other subject-matter-specific courses) by the end of the first semester of the Clinic. This Clinic satisfies the upper-class professional skills requirement. Priority is given to 3Ls. 2Ls will be considered only as space allows. Acceptance is competitive.
The Startup Law Clinic also offers paid summer fellowships during the summer. There are no prerequisites for the summer Clinic, and the it is open to both rising 3Ls and rising 2Ls. Acceptance is competitive.
