Brianne Allan ’21
Bri Allan is a third-year law student at Boston University School of Law. She spent her early childhood in Boulder, Colorado before moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico for her adolescence. Prior to law school, she attended the University of Colorado Boulder, majoring in evolutionary anthropology and sociology. This past summer, she was a summer associate at Skadden Arps in Boston and will be joining the firm as an associate following graduation. She is interested in transactional law, with a focus in M&A. In her spare time, Bri enjoys baking, cooking, and traveling.
Sabrina Arsalane ’21
Sabrina Arsalane is a third-year law student at Boston University School of Law concentrating in Risk Management & Compliance. Sabrina was born and raised in San Francisco, California. Before law school, she worked as an International Marketing specialist for francophone countries at Beautylish, a startup in San Francisco. This past summer, she worked in the Civil Litigation and Justice Program, primarily working on employment law matters. In her free time, Sabrina enjoys traveling, hiking, and biking.
McKenzi Baker ’21
McKenzi Baker is a third-year law student at Boston University School of Law. She grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas, and moved to Boston for law school. McKenzi has worked as a summer associate at a law firm that takes pride in guiding emerging companies through the entire life cycle of a business. She has accepted an offer to join the firm as a full-time associate after graduation. In her free time, she enjoys painting, watching Netflix, and having fun with friends.
Kevin Brothers ’21
Kevin Brothers is a third-year student at the Boston University School of Law. Kevin grew up in Manhattan Beach, California before attending the University of Alabama where he received a bachelors degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice. This past summer, he was a summer associate at a law firm in Los Angeles that specializes in entertainment and film related legal matters. Kevin is interested in pursuing a career in corporate and transactional law, particularly in the startup and venture capital spheres. In his free time, Kevin enjoys playing softball with his BU Law colleagues, spending time at the beach, and watching his favorite baseball team, the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Marissa Buccafusco ’21
Marissa Buccafusco is a third-year student at Boston University School of Law. Marissa grew up in Basking Ridge, New Jersey and graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Italian Studies. After graduating, Marissa worked in Washington, D.C. as director of business operations for a technology startup and later as operations manager for a government consulting firm. Marissa is interested in transactional and international law and will be practicing at a firm in Boston upon graduation. In her free time, Marissa enjoys traveling, trivia, and watching food documentaries.
Lori Chang ’21
Lori Chang is a third-year student at Boston University School of Law. Originally from Palos Verdes, CA, Lori has spent eight years in the Boston area. She majored in Art History and minored in English at Wellesley College. Prior to law school, she worked as an AmeriCorps Fellow at a middle school in East Boston. Lori is interested in pursuing a legal career in transactional law with a focus on international work. In her free time, she enjoys consuming vast quantities of media, writing creative fiction, and curating Spotify playlists.
Gillian Fisher ’21
Gillian Fisher is a third-year law student at Boston University School of Law. Gillian grew up in Lenox, Massachusetts before attending Colgate University, where she majored in International Relations and minored in Religion. Before law school, Gillian worked at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and after graduation, she will be working at a law firm in Boston. In her free time, Gillian enjoys playing with her new puppy, Lola, paddle boarding, and watching Marvel movies.
Joanne Kim ’21
Joanne Kim is a third-year law student at Boston University School of Law. Joanne grew up in Irvine, California, and graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. After graduating, Joanne worked at a small IP law firm in Orange County, California, as a legal assistant. Joanne is interested in pursuing a career in-house and working on employment matters. During her free time, Joanne enjoys creating digital art, visiting new restaurants, and taking pictures of her two dogs.
Cait Leonard ’21
Cait Leonard is a third-year student at Boston University School of Law. Cait grew up in Shrewsbury, MA and attended UMass Amherst where she majored in Communication. After graduating BU, Cait will be joining a law firm in Boston, MA. In her free time Cait enjoys reading, baking, and exploring breweries all around New England.
Sara Leonard ’21
Sara Leonard is a third-year JD/MBA student at Boston University School of Law and Questrom School of Business. She grew up in Groton, Massachusetts and attended college at Washington University in St. Louis where she majored in Chemical Engineering. Prior to law school, Sara worked as an engineer for chemical plants and refineries in Texas. After graduation, Sara will be working at a law firm in Boston. In her free time, Sara enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, backpacking, skiing, running and taking walks with her dog!
Daniel McCarthy ’21
Daniel McCarthy is a third-year student at Boston University School of Law. Originally from Connecticut, Daniel majored in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Michigan. Prior to law school, he worked as an analyst at Point72 Asset Management, L.P. After law school, Daniel will be joining a law firm in Boston, MA. In his free time, Daniel enjoys going on walks with his dog, trivia, and trying out new restaurants.
Elvis Pinos ’21
Elvis Pinos, is a third-year student at Boston University School of Law. Elvis was born in Ecuador, but later moved to New Jersey where he grew up and where he studied finance at William Paterson University. Elvis worked in finance prior to starting law school and has spent two summers as a law clerk at Lowenstein Sandler. In his spare time, Elvis enjoys reading manga and being outdoors.
Michaela Rosen ’21
Michaela Rosen is a third-year student at the Boston University School of Law. Originally from Massachusetts, Michaela attended The George Washington University where she double majored in Political Science and Communications. She returned to the Boston area as an IT project analyst at The TJX Companies, Inc., then spent her 1L summer at CarGurus as an in-house legal intern. This past summer she worked as a Summer Associate in the Boston office at WilmerHale. For the academic year, Michaela will be a research assistant for Professor Danielle Citron and the Administrative Editor for BU Law’s Journal of Science and Technology Law. Michaela is also a certified US Information Privacy Professional with the IAPP. In her spare time, Michaela enjoys reality TV, football Sundays, and trying new restaurants.
Hayleigh Sawyer ’21
Hayleigh Sawyer is a third-year student at Boston University School of Law. Hayleigh grew up in Canada before moving to Tarpon Springs, Florida. She attended Florida State University where she majored in Political Science and International Affairs. After graduation, Hayleigh will be joining the Real Estate practice group at a law firm in Sarasota, Florida. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, being active outdoors, and exploring restaurants around Boston.

Arielle Sigel is a third-year student at Boston University School of Law. After growing up in Westborough, Massachusetts, Arielle attended Tufts University where she studied economics and entrepreneurship. Arielle has experience in sales and marketing and is now pursuing a career in corporate law. In her spare time, Arielle enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time on Cape Cod.

Emily Towill is a third-year law student at Boston University School of Law. Emily grew up in Connecticut, where she attended the University of Connecticut and studied Finance. Prior to law school, she worked as a teaching assistant for the University of Connecticut School of Business and interned at an asset management company. After graduation, Emily will be joining a Boston law firm. In her free time, Emily enjoys cooking, baking and hiking.
Jordan Voccola ’21
Jordan Voccola is a third year student at Boston University School of Law. Originally from Rhode Island, Jordan attended Boston College, where she majored in International Studies with a concentration in Economics. Throughout college and law school, Jordan has worked in various positions in the Massachusetts state legislature. After graduating from law school, Jordan plans to pursue a legal career in transactional law. In her free time, Jordan enjoys board games, exploring new restaurants around Boston, and trying her hand at mixology.
Matthew Voges ’21
Matt Voges is a third-year law student at Boston University School of Law. He hails from St. Paul, Minnesota and completed his undergrad at St. John’s College, Annapolis, where he studied the Great Books. He plans to pursue a career in transactional law after graduation. In his downtime, he likes to visit art museums, study philosophy, and have good conversations.
Ashley Wong ’21
Ashley Wong is a third-year student at Boston University School of Law. She was born and raised in New York City and graduated from Hunter College where she was an honors student and President of the Pre-Law Society. During law school, she was a legal intern at Pegasystems, a global software company and worked on corporate and IP matters. Through her time at the Securities and Exchange Commission and Jefferies Finance, she has developed an interest in corporate and transactional law. Ashley enjoys fashion blogging, writing poetry, Zumba, and exploring new brunch places with friends and family.
