Sam Banker ’23
Sam is a rising 2L at BU Law, where he is the incoming Treasurer for the Energy & Environmental Law Society. He is concurrently pursuing an M.A. in International Relations from BU’s Pardee School for Global Studies. Prior to law school, Sam served in the Peace Corps in Tanzania (2018-2020) and worked for the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (2017). Sam has a B.S. in Business and Political Science from Northeastern University (2017). He is originally from Cambridge, MA, and grew up in Cambridge and Arlington, MA.
Matt Choy ’23
Matthew Choy is a rising 2L at Boston University School of Law, where he is Co-President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and the Public Relations Chair for First-Generation Professionals. He graduated from New York University with a B.S. in Applied Psychology and a B.A. in Environmental Studies. Before coming to law school, he worked extensively for a New York property technology startup and The Legal Aid Society.
Melissa Pereira ’23
Melissa is a rising 2L at BU Law and the current BU Law Student Government Association Secretary. She was a four-year Division 1 student athlete at the University of Hartford where she received a B.S. in Business. She graduated summa cum laude double majoring in Entrepreneurial Studies and Marketing, earning the Excellence in Entrepreneurial Studies Award for the Class of 2019. She is an NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete and Presidential Scholar-Athlete. She focused her undergraduate studies primarily on small business consulting. She worked extensively with local businesses, startups, and nonprofits in the Hartford area. Additionally, she was an instructor at USA Elite Training.
Anna Yarbrough ’23
Anna is a rising 2L at Boston University School of Law, where she is the incoming Vice President of Lawyers in Technology and a Lawyering Fellow in the 1L writing program. Prior to law school, Anna worked in software consulting at SAS, helping data scientists and business analysts learn to code and connect to their data. Anna attended undergrad as a Park Scholar at North Carolina State University, where she received her B.S. in Applied Mathematics (2018).
