Marissa Buccafusco is a rising second-year student at Boston University School of Law. Marissa grew up in Basking Ridge, New Jersey and graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Italian Studies. After graduating, Marissa worked in Washington, D.C. as director of business operations for a technology startup and later as operations manager for a government consulting firm. Marissa is interested in transactional and international law. In her free time, Marissa enjoys traveling, trivia, and watching food documentaries.
Dominique McClean is a rising second-year student at Boston University School of Law. Originally from Boston, she earned a degree in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from The Ohio State University. Dominique currently serves as the Vice-President of the Student Government Association at BU Law. In her spare time she enjoys the Buckeyes, brunch, and Beyoncé.
Alex Hernandez is a rising second-year student at Boston University School of Law and grew up in Southern California. He graduated from Vanderbilt University with a self-created degree in Global Security Studies. Prior to attending law school, Alex was a consulting analyst for the technology firm Accenture and leveraged innovative business solutions to improve global supply chains in the nuclear power generation and plastic production industries. He currently serves as the BU Student Ambassador for the Boston Bar Association, fostering greater communication and connections between both institutions. After law school, Alex hopes to consult businesses and drive growth through the legal use of emerging technologies. In his free time, he enjoys cooking California-style Mexican food for friends, salsa dancing, and visiting historic sites around Boston.
Doug Lajoie is a rising second-year student at Boston University School of Law. He attended Bentley University, majoring in Economics-Finance and minoring in Mathematics. Before entering law school, Doug worked as an advisor for a private wealth firm in Boston, MA. He focused on providing comprehensive financial planning, investment, and family office services to high-net worth families. Doug is the co-president of the Business Law Society and plans to focus on transactional and corporate law. In his free time, Doug enjoys golfing, biking, and exploring Boston.
Cait Leonard, a rising second-year student at Boston University School of Law, grew up in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she majored in Communication. At BU Law, she serves as the Vice President of Communication for the Business Law Society and the Communication Law Chair of Communication, Entertainment & Sports Law Society. Cait is planning to focus in corporate and transactional law. Outside of law school, Cait enjoys singing, walking everywhere regardless of distance, and going to Red Sox games.
