BU/MIT Startup Law Clinic
Startup Counsel for Campus-Based Entrepreneurs
Boston University School of Law’s Startup Law Clinic is a unique collaboration between BU and MIT through which BU Law students, led by experienced business attorneys, provide legal counsel to campus-based entrepreneurs on a wide range of legal issues faced by early-stage business ventures.
Students who are currently registered at BU or MIT, and business entities in which a currently registered BU or MIT student has an active management role, may be eligible for free legal assistance through the Clinic.
The Startup Law Clinic is part of the BU/MIT Entrepreneurship, Intellectual Property & Cyberlaw Program, a collaboration between Boston University School of Law and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Our companion clinic, the Technology Law Clinic, advises BU and MIT students on laws and regulations that may affect their innovation-related academic and extracurricular activities. If you are unsure which clinic is most appropriate for your needs, please submit an intake questionnaire for the Startup Law Clinic; we’ll refer you to the Technology Law Clinic if necessary.
