Lauren Bernier (she/her)

Lauren is a PhD student in the Clinical Psychology program at BU. Her research and clinical interests center on behavioral medicine and adjustment to chronic illness and related health challenges, including in the context of HIV, chronic pain, and substance use. She is also interested in the development of psychosocial interventions aimed at optimizing sexual and reproductive health among people navigating health events or chronic illness. Prior to coming to BU, Lauren was a clinical research coordinator in the Behavioral Medicine Program at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she contributed to projects focused on adapting and implementing evidence-based psychosocial treatments for those with and vulnerable to HIV.
