Hyo Jin (Jenny) Shin (she/her)

Jenny is a third-year PhD student in the Clinical Psychology program at Boston University. Her clinical and research interests include addressing mental and behavioral health inequities among individuals with marginalized identities. Specifically, she is interested in adapting interventions to better understand and address the disproportionate burden of emotional disorders (e.g., depression, anxiety, PTSD) and behavioral health challenges (e.g., substance use, tobacco use) among individuals who identify as sexual and gender minorities. Previously, Jenny obtained her master’s degree in public health and worked as a clinical research coordinator at the Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Behavioral Medicine.
