Outreach

Prof. Perez has proposed at least one multi-speaker annual event aimed at the broader public and featuring perspectives of both policy makers and finance and/or technology sector representatives during each year of her Chair. The events will address questions about EU initiatives in the areas of climate policy and the digital transition. The events will be organized in collaboration with BU’s Center for the Study of Europe. This page will be updated as details become available.

The planned events include:

1. A public roundtable in May 2026 to address the implications of the growing use of AI: European and US perspectives on Artificial Intelligence,
2. A second roundtable during fall 2026 exploring synergies between the EU’s climate and digital transition policies.
3. A third roundtable, during Prof. Perez’s final year as chair, focusing on the state of environmental policy and the transatlantic relationship.
