Federico Coppo

Hi! My name is Federico Coppo and I am a senior double majoring in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. My main objective as a future engineer is to reduce GHG emissions by developing more efficient methods of power generation, transmission, and storage, as well as green modes of transportation. I currently work for the Materials Laboratory for Energy and Environmental Sustainability under Professor Uday Pal and am involved in projects in battery technologies and solar PV. I am looking towards continuing my studies in electrical and mechanical engineering with a Ph.D. upon graduation. Outside of school, I love cooking and I perform as an organist. I joined BU SME because it enables me to learn more about the world of manufacturing and to understand how products are made. SME has given me the opportunity to learn from top-notch engineers and career development advisors, inspiring CEOs, and amazing life coaches.
