María Datel

María Datel studied Literature, with a focus on Argentine and Latin American literature, at the University of Buenos Aires. Since 1999 she has been teaching Spanish at BU and has served as the course coordinator for LS112, 212, and 300-level classes. She also created the courses “Crime Writing”, “Sailing with Darwin to Patagonia”, and “La Frontera/The Border”, a 300-level intensive Spanish writing class for heritage speakers. She is the co-organizer of the Second-Language Learning and Disabilities Conference and is interested in inclusive pedagogy, working to create curricula that represent all students.
