{"id":2514,"date":"2022-03-14T09:51:29","date_gmt":"2022-03-14T13:51:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/sisrenewal\/?p=2514"},"modified":"2022-10-17T14:52:01","modified_gmt":"2022-10-17T18:52:01","slug":"identity-access-management-directory-modernization-release-1-is-live","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/sisrenewal\/2022\/03\/14\/identity-access-management-directory-modernization-release-1-is-live\/","title":{"rendered":"Identity &#038; Access Management Directory Modernization Release 1 is Live!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are excited to announce that Release 1 of our Identity Access and Management Directory Modernization project has launched!<\/p>\n<p><strong>What has changed?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The technology behind the assignment of BUID Numbers, resulting in some changes to how Duplicate IDs are resolved.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/services\/security\/iam\/directory\/bu-online-directory-preview\/\">Online Directory<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/services\/security\/iam\/directory\/online\/change-entry\/\">Change Your Entry<\/a>, where Students, Faculty and Staff can query, view, and update some elements of their identity.\u00a0 Changes include:\n<ul>\n<li>How directory entries are displayed:\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cDisplay Name\u201d will replace the \u201cnickname\u201d option to display an alternate name in the BU Online Directory<\/li>\n<li>Multiple positions for Faculty and staff will now be displayed appropriately<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Individuals can provide personal e-mail addresses to help protect and resolve issues with their identity records.<\/li>\n<li>Enhance Display Name, enabling the update of first, middle and last name separately.
