For staff and some faculty users, customized access has been defined and can be requested by a Departmental Security Administrator (DSA) based on the type of work performed. <\/p>\n<p><!--This is where the icons will live. A set of resources have been made available through an <a href=\"https:\/\/bushare.sharepoint.com\/:f:\/s\/GRP-IST-DSAS\/Eq3Lx7u-08VGkLlK-lqHPvMBzAk5QjmJ7RG3YaVHxDfq1g?e=lmzLwS\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">IS&#038;T Departmental Security Administrators Sharepoint<\/a>. This includes procedural instructions for DSA&#8217;s and concept overviews that other staff can refer to for a general understanding of how MyBU Student security access works.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In addition to many helpful resources in that Sharepoint, a recording is also available of a <a href=\"https:\/\/mymedia.bu.edu\/media\/t\/1_2b1dstx7\/334960952\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">May 2025 overview session<\/a> describing key concepts and elements.<\/li>\n<li>DSA&#8217;s can use the <a href=\"https:\/\/bu.service-now.com\/sp?id=sc_cat_item&#038;sys_id=6a6627f087c3215059dfca68cebb3586&#038;sysparm_category=fbb2d1d0db38445053c1d77648961910\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Request New Access Form<\/a> to enter MyBU Student system role(s) access for the first time for a user.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MyBU Student access for students and faculty is generally handled via self-service and automations as part of overall account provisioning.
