<\/a><\/p>\nIntroduction<\/h4>\n
The Attendance Verification process confirms whether a student is currently \u201cin attendance\u201d at the University. Although attendance in classes will be an important criterion, this review is an overall status of the student\u2019s presence and engagement on campus. Not every student will be prompted to complete a verification agreement. Students will be assigned if: <\/p>\n
- \n
- The student is enrolled in classes for the term <\/li>\n
- AND their bill is not settled,<\/li>\n
- AND after a review of their Blackboard, housing and card swipe activity, there is not confirmation of that the student is participating or engaging (in attendance). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
PROCESS WORKFLOW<\/h4>\n
- \n
- Students are assigned the Attendance Verification Agreement. An email notification to the student will accompany this task.<\/li>\n
- The student verifies their attendance by the provided due date.<\/li>\n<\/li>\n
- \n
- If students indicate they are attending in any of their classes, they will be considered \u201cattending\u201d and referred to Student Financials to settle their bill.<\/li>\n
- If students indicate they are not attending in ALL of their classes, they will be considered \u201cnot attending\u201d and withdrawn from the Term.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
- If the student does NOT complete the task by the due date, faculty of the student\u2019s enrolled courses will be prompted to respond to the student\u2019s attendance.<\/li>\n

- If the faculty does NOT complete their validation step, lists will be provided to the student\u2019s School\/College for review and final verification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
- Final updates are then processed by the Office of the University Registrar (OUR) and students confirmed as not attending will be term withdrawn.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
\nUpon validation that the student is not active and not attending classes, OUR will withdraw them from the Term.<\/strong><\/p>\n
