<\/a><\/p>\nIntroduction<\/h4>\n
Student List processes are for advisors and those assigned advisor functionality and are accessed from the Advisees & Student Lookup page. They function as an organizational tool and will be unique to the advisor. <\/p>\n
Examples:<\/p>\n
- \n
- Graduating seniors who need review<\/li>\n
- Potential orientation leaders<\/li>\n
- Baroque ensemble fall 2024<\/li>\n
- Pre-clinical cardiologists<\/li>\n
- Students interested in summer internships, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Students cannot see lists they are associated to. Security does vary amongst different types of advisors. Please be aware that processes and pages identified here may differ from your views. <\/p>\n
\u26a0\ufe0e Screen options and menus will vary by user; please note that displays may differ for you based on access that has been granted.
All screens shown are for training purposes only.<\/p>\nView, Create, & Edit Student Lists<\/h4>
<\/p>\nVIEW LISTS<\/h5>\n
- \n
- Navigation: Advisor > Advisee & Student Lookup<\/li>\n
- To view existing Lists or create a new Student List<\/strong>, click the Student Lists button at the top of the Advisees & Student Lookup page.\n
- \n
- If there are existing lists, the count will display with the button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

<\/a><\/p>\nThe Student Lists<\/strong> page will launch displaying all created lists and the number of students that have been added to each.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\nCREATE NEW LIST<\/h5>\n
To create a new Student List from this page:<\/p>\n
- \n
- Click the Create Student List<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n
- The Create Student List<\/strong> window will display. Enter the list name and click Create<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
- If successful, a confirmation message will display in the top right of the page and the new list will appear on the Student List page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
EDIT OR DELETE LIST<\/h5>\n
- \n
- To edit the name of a list, click the 3 dots menu and select Edit<\/strong>.

<\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n- An Edit Student List Name<\/strong> field will display allowing for the edit. Click Update<\/strong> when finished.<\/li>\n
- To remove the Student List entirely, click the 3 dots menu and select Delete.<\/li>\n
- If successful, a confirmation message will appear in the top right.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

Add Students to List<\/h4>
<\/p>\nADDING AN INDIVIDUAL ADVISEE<\/h5>\n
<\/a>Process 1:<\/p>\n

- On the Student List page, click the View<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n
- In the field, enter the student ID\/Email or Name and click the Add Student<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
Process 2:<\/p>\n
- \n
- On the Advisee & Student Lookup<\/strong> page, click the down arrow<\/strong> button on the far right of the student line.<\/li>\n
- Select Add to Student List<\/strong>.

<\/a><\/li>\n- Select an existing Student List from the drop-down field (or create a new one).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
Process 3:<\/p>\n

- On the Advisee & Student Lookup<\/strong> page, click Open<\/strong> on the needed student. The Student Details<\/strong> page displays.<\/li>\n
- Click the 3 dots menu and select Add to Student List<\/strong>.

<\/a><\/li>\n- Select an existing Student List from the drop-down field (or create a new one).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
ADDING MULTIPLE ADVISEES<\/h5>\n

- On the Advisee & Student Lookup<\/strong> page, select multiple checkboxes and click the Actions<\/strong> button that displays next to the multi-select checkbox above the student list.\n
- \n
- Select Add to Student List<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

<\/a>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\nWhether adding an individual or multiple advisees, the Add to Student List<\/strong> window will open.<\/p>\n
Select the existing Student List that the indicated students are to be added to. If the desired list does not exist, select +Create New Student List<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\nIf +Create New<\/strong> is selected, a field will appear where the list name can be entered. Click Add<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Manage Students in Student Lists<\/h4>
<\/p>\nVIEW STUDENTS IN A LIST<\/h5>\n
- \n
- From the Advisee & Student Lookup page, navigate to Student Lists.<\/li>\n
- To view students in a list, click the View<\/strong> button on that list.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
The students associated to that list will display and is the same view of information as the Advisee & Student Lookup page: UID, Name, Career, Programs\/Plans, Admit Term, and Expected Graduation Term.<\/p>\n
- \n
- Remember that a student may be listed more than once if there are multiple
\nProgram\/Plans associated to them.<\/p>\n- \n
- There may only be one student added to the list, but multiple rows.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
- Click the left \u2018>\u2019 arrow on a student to expand for more program\/plan details and to see the primary. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

- Search using the ID\/Email field and click the Add Student<\/strong> button to add more students to this list. Refer to Process 1 in the Add Student to List section above for more instructions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
REMOVE STUDENT(S) FROM LIST<\/h5>\n

- To remove an individual student from the list, click the arrow next to the Open button for the menu. Select Remove from Student List<\/strong>.

<\/a><\/li>\n- To remove multiple students from the list, check the box on the students and the Actions<\/strong> button will appear next to the multi-select checkbox above the student list.<\/li>\n
- Click the Actions<\/strong> button and select Remove from Student List<\/strong>.

Similar actions to the Advisee & Student Lookup page can also be performed from the Student List page.<\/p>\n

- Refer to the Advisee & Student Lookup and Student Details Processes resource<\/a> for information on the following tasks:\n

- Click the Open button to launch the Student Details Page<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
- Release Holds<\/strong> for an individual student.<\/li>\n
- Add Note<\/strong> to one or multiple students use the checkbox to select multiple students (shown above).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
- Refer to the Act as Student for Advisors resource<\/a> to view a student\u2019s academic related information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
- Release Holds<\/strong> for an individual student.<\/li>\n
- Click the Open button to launch the Student Details Page<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
- To remove multiple students from the list, check the box on the students and the Actions<\/strong> button will appear next to the multi-select checkbox above the student list.<\/li>\n
- To remove an individual student from the list, click the arrow next to the Open button for the menu. Select Remove from Student List<\/strong>.
- Search using the ID\/Email field and click the Add Student<\/strong> button to add more students to this list. Refer to Process 1 in the Add Student to List section above for more instructions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
