\nOur graduate program is unique in its interdisciplinary emphasis, residing within the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences, instead of within traditional academic departments. Our faculty are drawn from 23 academic departments representing five schools & colleges.<\/span><\/p>\n
\nOur students perform research in a broad range of areas, including scientific computing, uncertainty quantification, machine learning, numerical analysis, optimization, visualization, computational medicine, computational geosciences, computational materials, computational life sciences, computational physical sciences, computational engineering, plus many more.<\/span><\/p>\n
\nThe Oden Institute has pioneered the field of computational science and engineering, and our faculty are renowned for their contributions to the field. Our graduate program is ranked #1 in the world by CWUR<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n
\nThrough research and coursework, our graduate students have the opportunity to work closely with the Texas Advanced Computing Center, the nation\u2019s leading academic supercomputing center, as well as the Oden Institutes\u2019 on-site large computing systems and a state-of-the-art visualization lab.<\/span><\/p>\n
