The application deadline is<strong>\u00a012:00 noon<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0<strong>Thursday, March 5.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>An information session about applying for summer UROP funding will be held on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 5:00pm in CAS B18.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span><strong>Application Information<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The types of funding for which you may apply include:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li><strong>Faculty Matching Grant<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(<strong>FMG):<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>funding split equally between UROP and the faculty mentor&#8217;s research funds;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Student Research Award<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>(<strong>SRA<\/strong>)<strong>:<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>funded entirely by UROP;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Humanities Scholars Award<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>stipend and supplies for students conducting research in the Humanities (the deadline for Humanities Scholars Award application is rolling until May 1);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Supplies Award:<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>awards up to $500 for research supplies, transferred directly to faculty mentor&#8217;s department;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Housing Support:<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Up to $1000 toward summer housing (limited number of supplements available for students based on financial need as determined by Boston University Office of Financial Aid).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">If you are interested in applying for UROP funding, please visit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/urop\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/urop&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1580768707001000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFod6BpOCFlUzthuyQ9O7qGA5Toyw\">www.bu.edu\/urop<\/a>\u00a0to learn more about the program and the application process. This year\u2019s topic is<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>climate change<\/strong>. The award is available to juniors and provides funding for one summer and two consecutive academic semesters.
