The Science Gardener Collaborative
Our website is a resource for research and guidance for safer growing in soils, grounded in sound science. A cooperative effort of public health practitioners, scientists, educators, policymakers, and gardeners.
Who are you?
You are… a casual web visitor interested in issues in soil safety, a gardener planning for the next growing season, someone who is considering small-scale farming in an urban setting, a researcher wanting to know more about soil risk assessment research for the purposes of gardening. Or you are a municipal agent seeking some answers on how to give guidance to your community.
Who We Are
We are a team dedicated to research and projects on healthy growing practices. Formal and informal collaborations strengthen our knowledgebase and are the bases of our recommendations. Take a look at our mission statement and “about us” to learn more.
What We Do
We give workshops, carry out research, engage in our community, work with other academics, organizations, policymakers and departments of health. Our past and current projects can be found here.
