Current research themes include developing bioinspired soft robots and looking at how to design, fabricate, model, control, and characterize soft actuators, sensors, and stiffening mechanisms. We are also exploring the use of soft robotic technologies to design innovative medical tools for minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

The two main research areas of the lab are Soft Robotics, and Medical Devices.
