Boston University School of Management Wins TeamMBA Award for Second Year in a Row<\/h2>\n

The TeamMBA Award from the Graduate Management Admissions Council<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

After winning the 2009 TeamMBA Award<\/a> from the Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC) for a \u201ccommitment to promoting\u2026social engagement,\u201d Boston University has again been honored for \u201cexemplifying a commitment to social responsibility through the actions of [its] students.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year, GMAC, an association of leading business schools around the world, has recognized Boston University with one of only six service awards, granted at a ceremony in June, 2010.<\/p>\n

“The annual TeamMBA Award…recognizes schools that exemplify a commitment to social responsibility through the actions of their students and the school’s demonstrated support of these efforts.”<\/p>\n

Specifically, BU won the Service Award for Corporate and Social Responsibility, based on the School’s support of its annual, student-run event Link Day, organized with help from the School of Management’sPublic Nonprofit Management Program<\/a>. In 2010, this event aligned the business skills of 60 MBA students with the needs of 15 area nonprofits.<\/p>\n

Last year, Boston University was the only school world-wide awarded GMAC\u2019s overall institutional award for outstanding support of student involvement in social engagement \u201cthrough school-led programs, services, institutional culture, and more.\u201d<\/p>\n

The School of Management’s receipt of these awards, along with the recent recognition of its Net Impact chapter\u2019s top global status<\/a>, highlight the growing international reputation of BU\u2019s Public Nonprofit Management Program to attract, support, and help shape tomorrow\u2019s leaders in social responsibility.<\/p>\n
