Dr. Holland successfully defended her dissertation examining\u00a0how Black adolescents across California perceive their school climate, using latent class analysis and covariate analyses for gender and parental education level. Dr. Holland completed her internship at the Santa\u00a0Barbara Psychology Internship Consortium (SB-PIC) where she worked with a local elementary school to implement behavioral interventions. Dr. Holland earned her school psychology doctoral\u00a0degree, June 2026, from the\u00a0University of California, Santa Barbara, where she worked in Dr. Shane Jimerson&#8217;s lab. She also obtained her M.A. in School Psychology from Bowie State University in Maryland. Dr. Holland is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) with extensive experience working with diverse groups of K-12 students. Her research focuses on the role of positive peer and teacher relationships as a preventive strategy to enhance student engagement and promote social-emotional well-being among African American and Latinx students.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"gmail_default\">At RU, Dr. Holland will be mentoring and training culturally responsive school psychologists to help address the national shortage in the field. Dr. Holland will be teaching the following courses: \u00a0School Psychology Services, School Psychology Practicum, Clinical Practicum, and Early Childhood Assessment\/Intervention. Her long-term goal is to become a coordinator of a School Psychology Program.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"gmail_default\">Below are a few articles that Dr. Holland has supported efforts of publications during her time at University of California, Santa Barbara.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Jimerson, S.
