How are partners enrolled in the study?<\/h6>
Once primary participants complete their baseline questionnaire at enrollment, they will be given the opportunity to invite their partners by email. If the partner completes our brief (15-20 minute) baseline survey, the couple will be entered into a lottery to win a free $400 Visa Gift Card, or an Apple iPad mini, Apple iPad, Apple Watch, or Beats Headphone set not exceeding $400 in value. Partners who complete their dietary survey receive a personalized nutrient summary report and are entered into a lottery to win a $100 grocery gift card. Fifteen couples have already received a reward for their participation, and twenty-one <\/i>participants<\/u><\/i><\/span>\u00a0have won a $100 grocery gift card!\u00a0<\/i><\/strong><\/span>

Why is it important for partners to enroll in the study?<\/h6>
Collecting data on partners will allow the research team to compile the most accurate information on fertility by analyzing the health and lifestyle factors of both members of the couple involved in conception.

How will the partner's information be kept secure and confidential?<\/h6>
The data provided online will be encrypted (a process of coding data to make it unreadable by outside parties) to eliminate the possibility that an outsider can gain access to the information.\u00a0 The data will be identified by number only, and will be stored in computer files protected by a series of passwords known only to staff working on PRESTO. All analyses will be conducted using coded data without any names or other personal identifiers.

The partner’s baseline questionnaire asks about lifestyle factors, reproductive history, and medical history.

The partner’s baseline questionnaire takes about 15-20 minutes to complete.

Will I be paid for participating?<\/h6>
While PRESTO does not offer any compensation for completing its online questionnaires, participants are paid for providing biospecimens (e.g., urine, blood, vaginal swabs, semen samples). For example, participants who provide urine and blood via mail are paid $60 ($70 if provided in-clinic). Participants who perform at-home semen testing are paid $20.
