Two outstanding BU students will have the opportunity to travel internationally or domestically on a 2-3 week reporting trip mentored by a professional journalist.<\/p>\n<h3>Overview<\/h3>\n<p>Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellows pursue independent journalism projects at the <strong>intersection of journalism and global health<\/strong>. <a href=\"https:\/\/pulitzercenter.org\/campus-consortium\/boston-university\">BU Reporting Fellows<\/a> have reported from 18 countries, including China, Cuba, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Guyana, India, Japan, Namibia, Tanzania, the U.K., and the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>Reporting Fellows benefit from Pulitzer Center mentorship, networking opportunities, and journalism resources. Most importantly, they become part of a vibrant community. Articles, photo essays, video, audio, and interactive media produced by Reporting Fellows are featured on the Pulitzer Center website and in multiple news outlets, such as the <em>New York Times<\/em>, <em>Miami Herald<\/em>, <em>Politico<\/em>, NPR, and <em>The Guardian<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h3>Qualifications<\/h3>\n<p>Open to Boston University students in COM and SPH. COM students should be enrolled in a graduate program or in their senior year.<\/p>\n<h3>Funding Available<\/h3>\n<p>One student from COM and one from SPH will be selected. Approximately $5,000 will be available per student to be used toward each Fellow\u2019s reporting trip to cover transportation, lodging, and related costs.<\/p>\n<h3>Selection Process<\/h3>\n<p>Applications will be vetted by faculty from COM, SPH, and the Pulitzer Center. The student must demonstrate interest in and a working knowledge of the principles of both global health and journalism.
