New Graduate Students & Postbac Fellows join the lab
The Perlstein lab welcomes new members in the 2023/24 school year! Hannah and Christina joined the Ph.D. program in Fall 2023 and have officially joined the Perlstein lab in Dec 2023. After becoming BU alumni in May, Melissa & Kaz have also joined as Postbac Academic Fellows in Fall 2023.
We are excited to see the projects they will work on and what scientific advances are to come!
Sunnie Kong is the New England BioLabs Fellow in summer 2020
Sunnie Kong was selected as the 2020 New England BioLabs Fellow for her research last summer through BU's UROP program. Sunnie is an undergraduate researcher in the lab. During the summer, she has helped lead our lab's efforts to incorporate a new bioinformatics focus while we were unable to enter the lab in the early days of the COVID pandemic. CONGRATULATIONS SUNNIE!
Perlstein Lab prepared for Virtual Open House
As everyone begins to get their heads wrapped around social distancing, BU Chemistry is doing their part by taking their Open House for prospective PhD students online! We can't wait to see all the prospective students during the event. Be sure to visit Prof. Perlstein during faculty one-on-ones to hear about what is new, drop in on the WIC Lunchtime Panel Discussion to chat with Christa, the Biochem student Q&A with Jackson, and the virtual poster session with Mel.
Two new graduate students join the lab
The Perlstein Lab welcomes Anastasiya Buzuk and Jackson Ho to our group. Both Anastasiya and Jackson joined the Ph.D. program in the Department of Chemistry in 2019 and joined the lab in December 2019!
