Hey! I’m Dr. Jesse Moreira. I am investigating the effects of diversifying physiology curricular content on student learning outcomes. My interests are in how we can systematically reform physiology education at the pre-med and medical school levels to enhance the inclusive-mindedness of future clinicians. My central hypothesis is that by fostering understanding of disease states in marginalized communities through formal coursework, we can reduce clinician implicit bias and resultant health disparities in BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ communities.
