Main lessons/takeaways from the ASI fellowship:
“Through the ASI program, I gained a deeper appreciation for how much there is still to learn in coastal oceanography, as well as how rewarding it can be to learn alongside peers. The experience strengthened my confidence in myself as a scientist and as a collaborator, and it helped me feel more comfortable engaging in scientific discussion and shared problem-solving.
I also developed a broader understanding of adjacent areas of ocean science and gained insight into how research and training can look across different universities. Beyond the academic growth, I formed connections and friendships that made the experience especially valuable.”
