Bio:
Thomas is a recently-graduated PhD student who studied coastal engineering in the Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at North Carolina State University. His research focused on coastal flooding caused by sea-level rise, its impacts on coastal residents, and co-producing adaptation strategies to mitigate these impacts. During his time as a graduate student, Thomas was a Global Change Fellow with the Southeast Climate Adaptation Science Center, served as President of the ASCE Coasts, Ocean, Ports, and Rivers Institute student chapter at NC State, and gave multiple invited presentations.
