Institution while in the program: Colorado School of Mines

Study area: Geology

Bio:

I am a recent PhD graduate and early-career scientist working at the intersection of remote sensing, geomorphology, and planetary surface processes. My work uses remote sensing data to study and quantify the morphometrics of rivers, deltas, and alluvial fans to better understand their evolution through time and the processes driving morphological differences. I also work in applying these methods to Earth–Mars comparative studies.

Main lessons/takeaways from the ASI fellowship:

“Everything—from the new techniques I learned, to the research connections I made, to field visits to locations of natural hazards such as zones of high subsidence and volcanic risk, as well as locations of cultural and historical significance. But most of all, the people I met and the memories we made <3”
